Discussion Questions

  1. What was the true walking with God for Enoch?

  2. What is true of walking with God for us?

Call to Walk

Enoch’s example serves as an exhortation that we, too, can walk with God. “Walking with God,” wrote Don Fortner, “is nothing more or less than believing God.” As we take God at His Word and diligently seek Him we can walk with Him. “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6). As believers, we believers we believe that God is—that He exists and that He is all that He claims to be. Now let us diligently seek Him until He is found.

It is faith alone in Christ alone that puts us on the path of walking with God. It is faith alone in Christ alone that keeps us steadily going in the walk. Let us, then, look in faith alone to Christ alone and continue our walk with God.
