Christ Will Hold Us Fast

Pastor Chang Kim

Philippians 1:3-6

3 I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, 4 always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. 6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

Listen to these words, a modern hymn “He Will Hold Me Fast”

“When I fear my faith will fail, Christ will hold me fast;
When the tempter would prevail, He will hold me fast.
I could never keep my hold through life’s fearful path;
For my love is often cold; He must hold me fast.

He will hold me fast, He will hold me fast;
For my Saviour loves me so, He will hold me fast.”

  2. What does it mean to have joy even in the most difficult situations? How was Paul and  Silas able to give thanks and pray with joy?

  3. What emotions go through your mind knowing God is fully in control and He is perfecting you?
