Ephesians 1:19b-23
19b the working of his great might 20 that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22 And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.

How is Christ Jesus exalted?
1. Christ Jesus is the resurrected savior and Lord v.19b God worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead. Matthew 28:1-7. He is living Savior – I serve a risen savior!
2. He is seated at the right hand of God v.20b seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places,
A. Jesus has the Highest Place.
1 Peter 3:22 - “Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers having been subjected to Him.”
Ephesian 1:21 - far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22 And he put all things under his feet.
B. Jesus is the king. - that Jesus is seated at the right hand of God means that He is a king.
Revelation 19:15-16 – King of kings and Lord of lords.
Matthew 6:33 – Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.
C. Jesus will return to judge accordingly.
2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.
3. He is Supreme head of the Church – 22b-23 and gave him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.
Hebrews 10:24-25 - “Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching”.
CONCLUSION - Christ Jesus is exalted above all.
We worship and serve a Risen Savior and Lord – Jesus is the Living God!
Philippians 3:10 “that I may know him and the power of his resurrection.”
Seated at God’s right hand
He has the highest place –
He is King – YIELD to the King.
Y – Yield
I – Illumination –
E – Establish - Truths
L – Love Christ - Be Christlike -WWJD
D – Decision and Direction
He is our judge –
Reflection Questions:
What did you do with the resources/ spiritual gifts/ talents God gives you?
Have you been faithful to Him?
Are you daily submitting to the Holy Spirit, seeking to honor Christ and further His Gospel work?
Are you neglecting the opportunities in reaching out to others who need the gospel, or serving the Lord?
Supreme head of the Church – He is the one we must follow, honor, and worship.
